Chocolate Caramel Cupcakes Recipe

These chocolate caramel cupcakes are ideal for any occasion. Moist chocolate cake with a gooey caramel centre and fluffy frosting on top.

Ingredients

  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Cook Time: 25 minutes
  • Total Time: 40 minutes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Use paper liners to line a 12-cup muffin tin.
  • Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a medium mixing bowl.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • One at a time, beat in the eggs.
  • Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the butter mixture, alternating with the milk and vanilla extract.
  • Mix until everything is just combined.
  • Half-fill each muffin cup with batter.
  • Fill each cupcake with a caramel, then top with the remaining batter.
  • 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool for 5 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Serve and have fun.
