Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water in a large mixing bowl.
  • Combine thoroughly.
  • Combine the vanilla cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water in a separate large mixing bowl.
  • Combine thoroughly.
  • Fill the lined muffin cups about 2/3 full with the chocolate cake mixture.
  • Spoon the vanilla cake mixture over the chocolate mixture until almost full.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool completely after removing from the oven.
  • Beat the butter in a medium mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  • While beating, gradually add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cocoa powder until well combined.
  • Frost the cupcakes with the chocolate and vanilla frosting, using a piping bag or a knife.
  • Serve and have fun.
