Ingredients
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 15 minutes
- Cook Time: 20 minutes
- Total Time: 35 minutes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- (175 degrees C).
- Fill muffin cups halfway with paper liners.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, white sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Mix in the unsalted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Fill each muffin cup two-thirds full with batter.
- 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
- Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting them.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together unsalted butter and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Mix in the milk and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Icing should be used to frost the cupcakes.
