Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • Prepare a muffin pan with paper liners.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Separately, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
  • Mix in the vanilla extract.
  • Mix in the dry ingredients gradually, alternating with the milk, until the batter is smooth.
  • Teal food coloring can be added until the desired shade is achieved.
  • Fill each muffin cup two-thirds full with batter.
  • Bake the cupcakes for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and set aside to cool completely on a wire rack.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine powdered sugar, butter, milk, and vanilla extract.
  • Teal food coloring can be added until the desired shade is achieved.
  • Decorate the cupcakes with icing and sprinkles.
